During your stay
Welcome to Sorbonne University!
Have you just arrived in France to study, teach or do research at the university? Take some time to ensure your stay gets off to a good start.
In the first few days, you'll need to complete certain formalities: ensuring all your paperwork is in order, validating your visa or applying for a residence permit, taking out health insurance, opening a bank account, and choosing a telephone provider. Completing these formalities will help you to settle in quickly and ensure that your stay is as stress-free as possible.
If you’re a student, make sure you’ve completed your administrative and academic enrolment so that you can access all the university's services. If you’re joining the institution as a lecturer or researcher, contact the human resources department of your host institution and/or research unit to organise your first assignments and get started in your new position.
After completing these formalities, you’ll find a wealth of opportunities awaiting you at Sorbonne University. You’ll discover a dynamic and social international environment which brings together research, innovation and campus life. Take part in cultural and scientific events, get involved with student associations, explore the welcome services and make the most of the many opportunities to socialise and work with others.
