The Paris city authority, student associations and university institutions offer a wide range of cultural, sporting and social activities tailored to your needs.
Cultural and leisure activities at low prices
Paris is renowned worldwide for its vibrant cultural scene. As a student, you’re entitled to reduced rates or even free admission to many cultural venues:
Theatres, museums, opera houses: under-26s and students are entitled to reduced rates upon presentation of a supporting document (student card or proof of enrolment).
Cinemas: some independent cinemas (MK2, UGC, Forum des Images, etc.) offer special rates of between €4 and €6 for students and young people.
Imagine R Étudiant card: for under-26s, this card offers discount rates on transport and certain cultural events. For more information, visit the Île-de-France Mobilités website.

Student House of the City of Paris : offers special deals for cultural events, including free or reduced-price entry.
QJ – Quartier Jeune : a centre for young people aged 16 to 30, offering practical information, events and support.
Student associations: these organisations offer many opportunities to get involved in student life (e.g.: Parismus, Erasmus Student Network, etc.).
Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris (CIUP) : free access to concerts, screenings, exhibitions, and more, even if you don’t live on campus.
Practical tip
Always carry a copy (whether paper or digital) of your student card. It entitles you to a wide range of reduced rates at cultural venues and on public transport.

Museums, exhibitions, concerts: many venues offer reduced rates to higher education and research staff upon presentation of a supporting document.
Free admission to museums: admission to many national museums is free on the first Sunday of each month.
International cultural institutions: Venues including the Goethe-Institut, the Cervantes Institute, and the Canadian Cultural Centre, offer exhibitions, screenings and multicultural social events.
